Dr Pozzi offers a comprehensive general orthopaedic service and is able to manage the care of the majority of orthopaedic conditions including upper and lower limb, general spinal and paediatrics. Dr Pozzi regularly performs arthroplasty (joint replacement) in primary and revision knee, hip, shoulder and elbow. Dr Pozzi has an active sports medicine (all joints), upper limb (including hand), foot and ankle practice.
Dr Pozzi’s practice is in both private and public medicine, he is on the after-hours on call roster for emergency care management, performs orthopaedic outreach to Cape York and is Director of Orthopaedic Training for the Cairns Hospital (part of the Australian Orthopaedic National Training Scheme).
Dr Pozzi is in in regular contact with his sub speciality colleagues both locally and in major metropolitan centres for the management of specific conditions (both for opinions and referral for continuing management), the Far North Community, including Papua New Guinea, is offered a high quality of care through these affiliations.
Dr Pozzi has had a long involvement in the injury management of local sporting teams across many codes including the Cairns Pride and Cairns Hockey Association. He has been a board member of CHA for the last 7 years and past Association President.
