Education Event

On Monday 18th February 2019 the Dr’s of Cairns Orthopaedic Clinic with the support of Cairns Private Hospital presented to a group of General Practitioners at the Cairns Private Hospital. The topic of the evening was “The Active Adolescent - A Sporting Chance”.  

The primary objectives of such education evenings are to improve the quality of patient care and supporting the delivery of quality education for the development and delivery of QI & CPD activities for our local GP community. 

Talks presented are relevant to GPs in general practice and is evidence based and supported by accepted medical theory.

Topics covered on the evening were;

Chris Morrey – Femoroacetabular Impingement - FAI
Robert Pozzi – Shoulder instability
Ben Parkinson – ACL injury in adolescents.
Cameron Downes – Spinal stress fractures
Kira James – Concussion

Feedback from the evening was positive and we look forward to being able to support further education events in the near future.
