Cairns Orthopaedic Clinic offers an alternative pathway for private assessment and treatment on non-emergency fractures who require timely assessment, casting and orthopaedic specialist input where appropriate.
Fracture Clinic Hours: 9am - 1pm every Wednesday.
IMPORTANT - THIS IS NOT AN EMERGENCY SERVICE
For open fractures, major trauma, or urgent medical concerns please attend your nearest Emergency Department or call 000.
What to expect:
1. Initial Assessment
One of our clinic doctors with fracture and injury experience will assess your injury and arrange appropriate treatment.
2. Immobilisation
If required, our on-site plaster technician can apply a cast, brace, splint or other immobilisation.
3. Specialist Input
If surgery or specialist advice is required, you will also be reviewed by one of our Orthopaedic or Sports Medicine Specialist.
